What This Tool Does

BNI Green Score Calculator is an independent tool that helps BNI members track and improve their Traffic Light score. It fetches your PALMS and Training reports from BNI Connect to calculate your current score and predict what you need to do this month to reach GREEN.

Not Affiliated with BNI

This tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to BNI International or any BNI chapter. It is an independent utility built by a BNI member, for BNI members, to help improve their engagement and traffic light score.

Your Credentials

  • Your BNI Connect email and password are used only to authenticate with the BNI Connect API and fetch your reports.
  • Credentials are never stored on our server — they are sent directly to BNI Connect's authentication endpoint.
  • Your session token is stored temporarily in your browser's session storage and in server memory for caching. It is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab or after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Data Handling

  • Report data fetched from BNI Connect is cached in server memory for up to 30 minutes to minimize API calls and respect BNI Connect's rate limits.
  • No report data is written to disk or any permanent database.
  • When you switch between members, data is re-parsed from the cache — no additional calls are made to BNI Connect.
  • Only the manual calculator's "Save" feature stores data locally in a SQLite database on this server.

Intended Use

This tool is intended solely to help BNI members improve their traffic light score by providing clear, actionable recommendations. It is not intended for:

  • Abusing or overloading the BNI Connect API
  • Scraping or bulk-downloading member data
  • Gaming or manipulating the BNI scoring system
  • Any activity that violates BNI's terms of service

User Responsibility

By using this tool, you acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for your actions while using this tool.
  • You have the right to access the BNI Connect data you are viewing (your own chapter's reports).
  • You will not use this tool to harass, spam, or engage in any harmful activity.
  • The score calculations and recommendations are provided as guidance only — they may not perfectly match BNI's official scoring.
